The list goes on.......

So it continues....

Number 5.

Gene Kelly

Yes, I know that he's dead. And no the Constantly Dramatic One isn't a
necrophiliac. But dude was hot back in the day. If you are an avid classic musical fan, you would definitely at some point totally have the hots for either a) Fred Astaire or b) Gene Kelly. Fred was all about elegance and grace in his dance where else Gene on the other hand...well Gene was known for his innovative, athletic style of dancing. Which translates into: "Holy mother of god! That move he did was hot! Rewind. Pause. Still. Still.....Aahhhhh".

One of Gene most famous quote was "If Fred Astaire is the Cary Grant of dance, I'm the Marlon Brandon." Indeed he was right.

Age: 84 at the time of death.

Ass status: When he was young and alive, super tight. Man was a dancer people.

Number 4.

P. Ramlee

Another dead dude. Yes yes......I know. Messed up.

The thing with P.Ramlee was that he was and will always be legendary in the Malaysian film industry. During his lifetime he directed, written and starred in as many as about 40 films that till day are being enjoyed and admired by the masses. No works of any other Malaysian filmmaker can achieve the greatness that P.Ramlee had.

So maybe as an aspiring filmmaker, its not the man that I am attracted to. But the legacy that he left behind. His admirable body of works and the fact that till this P.Ramlee's name is spoken with admiration and fondness. Also you gotta admit, dude looked pretty fine in Nujum Pak Belalang (1959).

Age: 44 at the time of death.

Ass status: I don't really care to tell you the truth.

Number 3.

Charlie Cox

Ahhhhhh Charlie. I already had my eyes sat on him in
Casanova but Stardust truly seal the deal. People, I totally watched Stardust 4 times. Once on my flight to Chicago and then 3 times in a row on my flight from Chicago back to Malaysia. It took a whole lot of self control not to just screamed "I love you Charlie!!!" and then dry hum the seat in front of me, where the screen was. Seriously.

Its his smile that gets me. Every time he smiles, I die a little inside.

Age: 26

Ass status: Its okay. I can deal.

Number 2.

Michael Fassbender

First saw him on the ill-fated British supernatural show; Hex. Fell deeply in lust. There's no one better to play the smokin hot, uber sexy demon Azazeal than Michael himself. Than of course when I spotted him in 300 running around in a loincloth alongside Gerard Butler....and that was it.

I had to watch 300, three times coz the first time I couldn't pay attention due to the hotness radiating from the screen, the second for the actual so-called plot and the third coz you know....300 men. Running around in loincloths. He played Stelios and this is his famous scene from the movie:

Age: 31

Ass status: Yummy.

Numbero Uno.

Yes. I know. You guys seen this miles away. Who didn't? Ahhhhh Clive Owen. Supreme Hotness, Smooth Operator, All-around Badass. The Constantly Dramatic One wants to do you. Desperately.

I would rip that suit off him. Seriously.

Maybe its the baritone voice. Maybe its the chin. Maybe its the fact that he is one of those men that doesn't have an ounce of feminine side. A bonafide caveman. A supremely hot caveman. Remember that scene in Closer, when he was talking dirty to Julia Roberts? Yeah, I dare you to find a hotter scene than that in any given mainstream movie. Clive Owen, too hot for words.

Age: 42
Ass Status: Pretty damn tight.

So there you go. That's my long awaited list. I'm tagging:

Chicago in pictures: Part 2

As promised this is the second batch of Chicago pics. Yes, I know I took my own sweet damn time but then as a reader of this blog, you should know by now that the Constantly Dramatic One does not blog in real time (read: HUGE procrastinator). Now, onwards!!

The Art Institute of Chicago is apparently one of the most credible museums in the world. What you can't find in the Lourve in France, you probably would find it here. Tragically when I was there most sections in the museum was closed because it was under construction. I was so excited to see some Rococo pieces but only a selected few of Renaissance pieces on display and none of Rococo at all. Goddamn sons of bitches.

For those not in the know, Rococo is the art movement where painters started to show more sensuality in their work. Half naked women, rounded buttocks, pink flesh, thin layers of cloth protecting the nude form. Its all very sensual. To put it simply Rococo is erotica in art. My cup of tea.

A sculpture from the Greek empire. I have no idea who he is or what idea he represents but duuuuude, check out that ass. I took a pic from the front too but maybe that's too vulgar to be posted up. I mail you the pic if you want to see it. Heh.

Time Transfixed by René Magritte (1935).

In this particular piece Magritte depicts a train protruding from a fireplace surrounded by a mantelpiece supporting a clock. The painting contains the images that Einstein himself relied on to illustrate his theories of relativity, namely, the clock and the locomotive. Since this is one of the famous pieces of Dadaism then it really up to you how to interpret it.

It was never my favourite piece of the DADA movement (that would be The Scream by Edvard Munch which sadly wasn't on display) but to be in the same room with such a prominent piece of art is truly a gift.

A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat
(1884-1886)

I had no knowledge of this particular piece before I visited the Art Institute but the moment I laid my eyes on it...it spoke to me. I know, cliche' but truly one of the most magnificent pieces in the whole museum. It was huge, its 81.7 × 121.25 inches - HUGE!! And its quite odd, the composition was all off. The figures in the painting seems one dimensional but when you go nearer it comes to life. Its one of those magical paintings that when you view from up close is different and from far away it tells a completely different story.

Another fascinating feature is that the painting wasn't painted. It was dotted. The whole painting was dotted. It was simply magnificent. I spend an hour sitting on the floor just staring up at it. My brother managed to finish like 5 sticks of cigarettes waiting for me.

I bought an imitation of this piece and now I'm searching all over for a book regarding the deeper study of this particular piece. Yes, that's right. The Constantly Dramatic One is a nerd. Now you know.

American Gothic by Grant Wood (1930)

Looks familiar? Bet it looks familiar if you watch Desperate Housewives. I did not know this but apparently American Gothic is one of the most important American art, ever. It also one of those pieces, along with a Sunday on La Grande Jatte and Nighthawks that have been parodied over and over again. I can't really appreciate this particular piece because the pop culture connotation that comes with it kinda lowered its artsy value to me.

A mirror dated all the way from the Regency Era. In case you dunno when Regency Era was, that was Jane Austen's Mr.Darcy and Emma and the whole lot's era. Back in the 18 hundreds. Long time ago.

The mirror has actual rust on it. I have never seen mirror that rust as much except in movies. The Ring anyone? After taking this pic, the Constantly Dramatic One spooked herself by thinking of countless scary movies that have scary mirrors in it. Stupid shit.

My brother took me for a walk in the neighbourhood he lives in. I wanted to get my astrology and crystal read coz I'm ridiculous like that but he gave me a look so I didn't.

You don't get buildings like this in Malaysia.

Over the bridge we go.

Annnddddd aahhh.....Chicago at 4 in the evening. Already darkening. 4 pm back home is when the sun starts burning our collective skins. As you can see the traffic is a bitch. Traffic are being bitches in every part of the world apparently.

The view of Chicago at night from the Navy Pier. You know how people always say that Chicago has a fantastic skyline? No true words have been spoken. The Chicago skyline , especially at night is simply amazing. I have no pictures that could justify how amazing it was. In fact no picture can justify it at all.

You have to be there to appreciate the beauty that is the Chicago skyline. I don't think I would see anything like it again. KL's skyline has got nuthin on Chicago's.

The entrance to Navy Pier, one of Chicago's most prominent landmark.

The famous Ferris wheel. I didn't get to go on a ride on it because the time we went (believe it or not, this pic was actually taken round 5 in the evening), the wind was blowing too hard so for safety measures no ride on the Ferris wheel that day.

Yet another famous Chicago landmark. Google Image Chicago and I bet you that you'll find this pic.

I went to watch WICKED# on Broadway. So many good things have happened to me throughout my life but so far fulfilling one of my dreams that is to watch a real Broadway show on Broadway have been the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Ever had a dream come true? I did.

The Ford Oriental Theatre where I watched Wicked.

The entrance to WICKED. I went to watch alone because sadly no one else in the family give a damn bout the arts. I basically had to drag my brother to take me to the Art Institute. People just have appreciate the arts better....

The inside of the Ford Oriental theatre was beautiful. The walls are all carved into these intricate organic designs. It was breath taking and if you stare enough none of the design repeat themselves. Truly an amazing piece of work.

The ceiling and the chandelier. Beautiful.

The balcony, look at the design on that. I didn't get to go to the second floor because my seats are on the first floor. Front and centre, 5 rows from the stage. Again: best thing that have ever happened to me.

Those are apples, dip in chocolate and toffee and I went insane. Malaysia don't have these!!

Okay, I'm hungry now.

Another thing that Malaysia doesn't have:

Half naked women on billboards.

What? I'm just sayin.....

So that's all the pictures from Chicago. Well not all, dude I have 700 photos. But those are the highlights. One of these days, the Constantly Dramatic One shall blog about WICKED and my first time flying home across continents alone.

Chicago in pictures: Part 1

I finally dragged my ass to upload the photos. So here you go, the first batch of my Chicago trip. I took bout 700 photos all together (2GB memory card people, 2GB) so count yourselves lucky I am only putting up 54 of them. Feel free to comment on my non-talent when it comes to photo taking.

The Constantly Dramatic One sucks donkey balls when it comes to taking pictures...and uploading them.

Mom and dad, Gate 43, LAX to Chicago.

My brother, you know..the one behind the white dude.

Speeches after speeches, felt like I was going to die out of boredom.

Ahhh, family portrait (minus 2 daughters).

We rented this apartment in Chicago coz its cheaper as compared to staying in a hotel. My parents stayed here the whole time we were there while I crashed at my brother's place coz he got wireless.

The Chicago Tribune headquaters near Michigan Avenue.

Michigan Avenue at night. This place is awesome. Basically Chicago's answer to LA's Rodeo Drive.

John Hancock building (on the right) day view. Also on Michigan Avenue.

The John Hancock building night view. You can't see the top of it coz it was all foggy. Pretty creepy, made me think of The Twilight Zone.

Still Michigan Avenue. I think this is a really cool picture. Notice that everything else was out of focus but "The Westin"? Talent bitches, I has them.

The drive towards Chicago downtown (or was it uptown...I dunno). Foggy and cold and so different from home.

The Drake Hotel. Build in the 1920s. Two of my idols have both had suites in them. And when I say idols, I mean Al Capone and Marilyn Monroe. I did not get to check out the world famous lobby but to be near it is better than nothing.

View of the Drake Hotel from the outside.

Victoria's Secret on Michigan Avenue.

VS's revolving door. WHEN THE HELL IS VS GONNA BRANCH TO MALAYSIA? Malaysian women are deprived of your awesomeness. Please come soon, please. And don't forget to bring lots of pretty, silky bras in my size.

Even the fitting room was awesome. A small screen embedded into the mirror featuring the VS angels cat walking down the runway. Shortly after this, a salesgirl came in and started groping me to make sure what my cup size is. Usually I would have huge afflictions against getting groped but seeing that I was in a VS fitting room...I didn't really mind.

Again: VS come to Malaysia already. We Malaysian women and I'm sure the men too are deprived of you.

My brother's place. I wasn't kidding when I say its messy.

The building are pretty much art deco. Made me really happy.

Dude, the parking fare in Chicago is insane. I bitch about having to pay a RM3 per hour parking but goddamn, look at these rates. Made me thankful that I only have to pay RM3 instead of 22.....

My second batch of photos would be of the Chicago Art Institute, Navy Pier, WICKED on Broadway in Chicago and other stuff we did there. I hope I have already bored you to death now.

Please do come again.

the Forest of Lost Luggage

There are many things that I wanna blog about regarding Chicago. I was thinking about what I was gonna blog about on my 14 hours flight from LAX to Taipei...that is until I got tipsy on white wine at 10,599 meters above sea level - after only two of those measly tiny glass that they serve you on board. Pathetica. But now what's with my luggage and all my other worldly precious belongings are missing, the Constantly Dramatic One does not have the heart to impart her misadventures and revelations while spending time in a foreign land.

I should be thankful that I reached Malaysia safe and sound and that my plane did not crashed. When one is suspended in air, one is constantly aware of one's mortality. And I should stop being upset...after all those are just things...but dammit!! I have two pairs of CK jeans in there that makes my butt look so good that people would discuss my butt in hushed tones, argue amongst themselves regarding the splendor that is my butt and finally agree that yes, Indeed my butt should be put alongside Beyonce's and J.Lo's butts in the Great Butts Hall of Fame...But now with my luggage gone...no one would discuss the awesomeness of my butt in hushed tones, no one would argue amongst themselves regarding the splendour that is my butt and there goes my shot at being featured alongside Beyonce and J.Lo in the Great Butts Hall of Fame....

Also the other stuff we bought for my sister for her wedding. Her 'hantaran'. Hantaran is a sort of dowry for Malay wedding and it comes in gifts. Of course part of those hantaran are the Nine West shoes and the Coach bags I mentioned. Also the Victoria's Secret perfumes I bought as souvenirs for my close girlfriends are in the those bags. And now, my girls have nothing from Chicago. This sucks donkey balls.

Maybe there is a lesson to be learn here.

Maybe this is God's way of telling me not to curse so much and that I must not consume any alcohol seeing that I am Muslim and we must not drink at all. Or maybe there was someone who smuggled cocaine into my bag at the airport to be transferred into Malaysia and its a good thing that I did not get my luggage coz once customs finds the cocaine in my luggage I will be sentenced to mandatory hanging....Mayyyybe...or maybe this is just my way of justifying things and trying to erase the guilt I felt and the absolute crushed look on my sister's face when I told her that both of the luggage containing her hantaran stuff are missing. Maybe.

Positive thinking wants me to believe that I will get my luggage sometime soon. Realistic thinking knows that my luggage have ended up in the Forest of Lost Luggage. *cue pic*

And there's nothing much that could be done...
